Fiat 500 instrument cluster repair

Sometimes it can happen that also the most tested and reliable OEM components, when serially-produced, may have some "problem".

The owner of this instrument panel came to us with his FIAT 500 complaining about a complete lack of lighting of the central display.

The car was already 2 years old and therefore it was out of warranty; the owner asked for a quote at FIAT garage which suggested the replacement of the entire dashboard at the total cost of approximately 600€.

At RD Custom, we disassembled and tested the component; once we found out the defective boards, we noticed that some welds were completely broken.

We removed broken welds and remade them from scratch; then we reassembled the instrument panel on the car and... there you go!

In about one hour and at the cost of only 50€, our customer now has a dashboard like new.
